Roll it! at Salzburg Toy Museum
Salzburg Toy Museum offers an interactive tour through the eventful history of toys until 4 April 2020 called "Roll it!".
Few among the many museums in the city of Mozart bring families together as wonderfully as the Salzburg Toy Museum. Children of all ages love the wide selection of toys from different decades and centuries, and they can try some of them out as well. A new special exhibition is dedicated to all sorts of attractions on wheels, and eager participation is very much encouraged!
Rolling through the museum
"Roll it!" should be taken rather literally. Young guests speed through the exhibition on several vehicles, such as wooden scooters and sliding boards. Everything here is all about riding, turning and pushing. The marble on the movable play table turns into a challenge of one’s own skills, self-built toy cars take part in thrilling races and the large toy train runs throughout the museum. Children also get their bodies moving with fun games and learn fascinating facts about nature. The large adventure course caps off the day.
About the Museum
Salzburg Toy Museum offers a programme for every taste. The ground floor is the hotspot for interactive games, such as the gigantic wooden Matador game. Other floors feature many amazing attractions including a twelve-metre-long toy train, the interactive doll’s house and the 100-year-old merchant’s shop. And if that’s not enough, the slide takes kids from the second to the first floor directly to the cosy reading corner.
These and other special exhibitions in Salzburg provide entertainment in every weather. "Roll it!" welcomes you until 4 April 2020. Combine your holiday at the Romantik Hotel GMACHL with a visit to a museum – we’ll gladly compile a non-binding offer for you!
