Austria's oldest family business

Originating in 1334 as a Tavern for the Benediktine monks of Monastery Nonnberg, it has been in the Gmachl family since 1583. The family has keept it since 23 generations - the oldest family business in Austria.

Today the Gmachl is a 4-star-hotel with attractive rooms and comfortable restaurant rooms that have kept the charming athmosphere of the old country inn.
