The galerie5020 sees itself as a place to engage with contemporary visual art in all its spheres. The exhibition program consists of curated group shows and an annual solo exhibition.Considering the size of Salzburg, this gallery situated in the center of the old town, is of a quite remarkable size. In addition to the actual exhibition space (approx. 130 sqm) it has a library and archive space, a communication-, presentation- and reading room (covered courtyard) as well as a production room.

Galerie Ruzicska
The Ruzicska gallery was founded in April 2004 in Salzburg by Nikolaus Ruzicska. It held its first exhibition in November 2004 in the newly decorated rooms of the gallery - a converted, detached former farm buildings with a garden.The gallery is not organized programmatically, but rather seeks quality as its top priority and the common ground for artistic expression.

Künstlerhaus - Cultural Association Salzburg
Founded in 1844 the cultural association of Salzburg celebrates a 150 year history. Since the 1990s, the association pursues an internationally oriented program of contemporary visual art from the countries of the former monarchy and of the neighboring countries. The "Künstlerhaus" - house of the artists - in Hellbrunn Straße 3, Salzburg, is built in the promoterism style and is now the only solitary architectural building from the 80s of the 19th century in Salzburg. Salzburg Foundation
The Salzburg Foundation is a private initiative, which is commited to present art in public. Every year since 2002 one renowned artist realizes one project in the city of Salzburg. So far, Anselm Kiefer (2002), Mario Merz (2003), Marina Abramovic (2004), Markus Lüpertz (2005) and James Turrell (2006) have created works of art in the city and for the city.
