The "Salzburger Kunstverein" (Salzburg Art Association), founded in 1844, has a rich history stretching back more than 150 years. Its main building located in "Hellbrunner Straße" was renovated recently. The association has been pursuing a programme with an international focus since the 1990s. The main focus is on contemporary creative art from the countries of the old Austrian monarchy and other neighbouring countries.
